Here in the hinterlands Chambana, it is hard to find the stuff we're used to buying.
Stupid stuff like Poland Springs sparkling water, Hunt's tomato puree, and roaster chickens without giblets (ewwww) are in short supply.
But I never thought I'd have to stoop to buying The Poo's diapers from Amazon.com.
My sister thinks I'm crazy for saying this, but she absolutely had to wear Pampers Cruisers in size 6. The kid has a weird shape and each and every brand we tried leaked - especially at night - except for the damn Pampers.
Which are expensive.
And unavailable in that size in Chambana.
Seriously.
So when The Parent Bloggers Network asked if I wanted to try Huggies Overnights I jumped at the chance. Huggies are readily available in the largest size here in this godforsaken quaint locale.
We used the size 5 Huggies Overnights for a week, and not only did they not leak, they actually fit The Poo's aforementioned oddly shaped bum. And I can safely say that these puppies can hold the contents of the Hoover Dam, because the child insists on taking not one but two sippy cups of "cole wadder wit ice" to bed with her each night.
I also like the way they fit her snug around the waist but didn't cut into her thighs. The Pampers were chafing her in that area and for the past month or so, she'd suddenly drop to the ground and roll around, clutching her inner thigh and wailing, "it huuuuurrrrttts!"
Granted, she's a total drama queen, but would you want your undies to cut your legs to bits and pieces?
I was freaking out - after all, until this week the stinkin' Pampers were the only damn diaper that fit and I had about 50 of them left from the last gigantic order I placed at Amazon.
But now that I know the Huggies Overnights work and fit well, I can give plain old Huggies Natural Fit size 5s a chance. Beautiful, lovely, less expensive and readily-available-in-Chambana Huggies.
Hallelujah!
Imagine all the new pants I can buy with the money I save on shipping.
